Seema was a beggar and came to Lotus Rescue with her child for the free meals. She and her children are now studying, she's earning a salary and her husband is supportive.
Poki was rejected by her family and worked from the age of five. She later became a beggar and was helped by Lotus Rescue. She is now the cook here.
WHAT DO WE DO?
Lotus Rescue is an NGO focusing on helping disadvantaged children and women bring dignity, clarity and change into their lives. We give street children all-round development and lay the foundation for their school life. We also educate and support children with mental and developmental disabilities through the Chotisi Asha initiative. Lastly, we enable women to identify their strengths and turn them into sustainable livelihoods.
